WHAT THEY SAY
Big SEIKO 5 SPORTS Automatic Strap Watch SNZG15J1 Mens
Love this watch, well built and reasonable reserve ability, it hasn’t ceased yet, mine is a little fast but not a big issue.
That is a great access into automatic watches, the Seiko activity has an extended history of stability.
Great watch that came up on time. It exceeded my prospects. Fit and carry out was beautiful. Well packed. The watch retains excellent time right out of the box.
A hi-tech, 23 jewels, automated movement identifies the Seiko Automatic Sports and makes it its classic position. This analog watch is backed by 23 jewels; the hands are luminous and silver-toned while baton hour-markers add extra presence. The watch also shows day and resists drinking water for 100 feet. The perfect watch out for a circular of beach volleyball, the silver-toned stainless steel link bracelet will carry it in place.
SEIKO 5 – this is of the “5” An excellent marketer had the theory in the 70isera: to be a SEIKO 5, the watch has to have the next 5 (five) attributes (thus the name SEIKO 5):
- Water resistant,
- Shock resistant,
Please note that some SEIKO 5’s are actually SEIKO 4’s, if the “Day” function is omitted, then the Caliber 7S25 is used. The only real difference to the normally found 7S26 is the omission of your day wheel.
Also re-issues of SEIKO 5 Sports often use the 7S36 caliber. Again the 7S36 is comparable to typically the most popular 7S26, yet it features 23 Jewels instead of the 21 Jewels in the 7S26.
Please note that all these movements overcome at a level of 21’600 bph (beats per hour) or 6 bps (beats per second).
As a contrast, an ETA 2824-2 beats at 28’800 bph or 8 bps. A Miyota 82xx beats at 21’600 bph.
Why must i point out these three activities?
Because they are found in probably 80% of most inexpensive automatic designer watches. A market show that is huge, yet challenged nowadays (2006) by an increasing show of inexpensive China Made automated movements An automatic watch (also called a self-winding watch) is a mechanical watch, typically with a balance wheel escapement, whose mainspring is wound by the action of the wearer’s arm, instead of needing to be wound physically every day.
Whereas a quartz watch is driven by electricity, a mechanised watch is powered by a mainspring which must be rewound for the watch to keep time.
THE CASE AND CRYSTAL
For SNK lovers who wish those watch situations were bigger, the delay is finally over. The SNZG15 actions a strong 42 mm and is 12 mm solid. That means its dimensions are bigger than the old-style men’s wristwatches, but is noticeably smaller than the outrageously huge watches you commonly see today.
The top case includes a brushed surface finish, as well as refined finish on the edges. The crystal is Seiko’s own hardlex crystal, which is extremely scratch resistant. It is also water resistant up to 100 meters.
The dial design seems a bit busy, although it does have a rather nice arrangement that makes everything still readable. The outside engagement ring shows the dominant numbered markings, while an internal ring provides armed forces time. Your day and time info is presented at the 3 o’clock position.
The hour and minute hands are large with a pointy end, as the second hand is just a nice sliver. The dark-colored dial offsets the hands and markers very well. The lume is excellent, as it glows brightly for 7 or 8 time.
The automatic mechanical 7S36 watch movements is appropriate and reliable, with variances ranging from -20 moments to +40 secs a day. That doesn’t quite equate to the best Swiss and Japanese automatic movements, but also for an entry level watch it’s more than sufficient.
It includes a do better than rate of 21600 BPH, and that means you do not get the unique ticking from a quartz watch that may be annoying at night when everything’s silent. There is a 40-hour power reserve and that means you may take it off during the night and never have to worry that it’ll stop working.
This is perhaps the weakest website link in the Seiko 5 SNZG15, and it’s the reason why the SNZG15 is a few us dollars cheaper than the Seiko 5 SNZG13. The 22 mm nylon strap can feel a lttle bit too hard initially, and you will need a while to break it in. It’ll get the job done well enough eventually though.
For a few, the nylon appears quite cheap so that it doesn’t match the peaceful appeal of the Seiko 5 SNZG15. But with NATO or leather straps you can simply buy in stores and online, it will look far better.
PROS & CONS Big SEIKO 5 SPORTS Automatic Strap Watch SNZG15J1 Mens
Basically, what we have here is an basic level military services field watch, and it’s rugged features and design are excellent.
The dial provides info conveniently, and even during the night there is no problem telling enough time. The hands are brightly luminous at night, and it generally does not fade for most hours.
The correctness is sufficient for most people.
The “provenance” (record), is nice, as it dates back to a youthful era when wristwatches such as these were worn on the field of battle.
The size of the truth is exquisite for people that have bigger wrists, but even for normal wrists it generally does not really look too large.
As for the nylon strap downside, for some that it is nice enough to wear as is. But for the most part, people don’t choose the Seiko 5 SNZG15 for the strap. You can simply change the strap to NATO or leather and that should improve its look even more.
WHY I SHOP AT AMAZON
Big SEIKO 5 SPORTS Automatic Strap Watch SNZG15J1 Mens -I put a lot of time and work into choosing where you can shop. I have favorite stores for groceries. I’ve favorite stores for clothes. I have stores I detest. And, of course, there’s always online shopping.
Typically, there’s just Amazon.
I find myself at Amazon.com almost every day — even when I’m not shopping, I may be exploring prices, reading reviews, upgrading my account or maybe dreaming. There’s practically always something in my own cart, just waiting for grounds to officially place an order. It’s the internet version of windows shopping.
In the long run, I’m probably to make my final purchase with Amazon anyhow. Listed below are 7 explanations why it’s become my go-to store:
After years of researching prices and returning to Amazon, I’ve finally recognized there are just some things they’ll always offer at the lowest price. Actually, I have a couple of things I’ll only buy on Amazon. They also offer concealed price suits, where they’ll lower the purchase price on items others are providing on sale.

I remember when Amazon offered just catalogs, movies, and music. Now, will there be anything they don’t sell? I’ve bought consumer electronics, toys, groceries, clothes, and even furniture. It truly is the main one place I can go to order anything we need.
I’ve only acquired to deal with their returns several times, but it’s a simple process. Fill out the proper execution through your bank account, printing the RMA and transport label, then email the item back. They’ll send a replacement or credit your accounts as soon as it arrives. A breeze.
