Love this watch, well developed and respectable reserve electric power, it has not stopped yet, mine is a little fast however, not a big issue.

This is a great entry into automatic wrist watches, the Seiko movements has a long history of stability.

Great watch that came up promptly. It exceeded my goals. Fit and carry out was beautiful. Well packed. The watch maintains excellent time right from the box.

A hi-tech, 23 jewels, programmed movement identifies the Seiko Automatic Sports and earns it its common position. This analog watch is supported by 23 jewels; the hands are luminous and silver-toned while baton hour-markers add extra visibility. The watch also shows day and resists normal water for up to 100 feet. An ideal watch out for a circular of beach volleyball, the silver-toned stainless steel website link bracelet will hold it in place.

Product description

SEIKO 5 – this is of the “5” An excellent marketer had the idea in the 70ies: to be always a SEIKO 5, the watch has to have the following 5 (five) features (thus the name SEIKO 5):

  1. Automatic,
  2. Water resistant,
  3. Shock resistant,
  4. Date,
  5. Day.

Please note that some SEIKO 5’s are in fact SEIKO 4’s, if the “Day” function is omitted, then your Caliber 7S25 is used. The only difference to the normally found 7S26 is the omission of your day wheel.

Also re-issues of SEIKO 5 Athletics often use the 7S36 caliber. Again the 7S36 is similar to the most popular 7S26, yet it features 23 Jewels as opposed to the 21 Jewels in the 7S26.

Please note that all these movements defeat at a rate of 21’600 bph (beats each hour) or 6 bps (beats per second).

As a comparison, an ETA 2824-2 beats at 28’800 bph or 8 bps. A Miyota 82xx beats at 21’600 bph.

Why do you point out these three actions?

Because they are within probably 80% of most inexpensive automatic designer watches. A market show that is huge, yet challenged these days (2006) by an increasing share of inexpensive China Made automated movements An automatic watch (also known as a self-winding watch) is a mechanised watch, typically with a balance steering wheel escapement, whose mainspring is wound by the action of the wearer’s arm, rather than needing to be wound by hand every day.

Whereas a quartz watch is powered by electricity, a mechanical watch is driven by a mainspring which must be rewound for the watch to keep time.

For SNK fans who want those watch conditions were bigger, the wait is finally over. The SNZG15 measures a robust 42 mm and it is 12 mm solid. Which means its sizes are bigger than the old-style men’s designer watches, but is noticeably smaller than the outrageously huge wrist watches you commonly see today.

The top circumstance includes a brushed finish off, as well as refined carry out on the attributes. The crystal is Seiko’s own hardlex crystal, which is extremely scratch resistant. It is also water resistant up to 100 meters.

The dial design seems somewhat busy, although it does have a rather nice arrangement that makes everything still readable. The outside ring shows the visible numbered markings, while an inner ring provides military services time. The day and date info is presented at the 3 o’clock position.

The hour and minute hands are considerable with a pointy end, as the second hand is just a good sliver. The black dial offsets the hands and markers nicely. The lume is excellent, as it glows brightly for 7 or 8 hours.

The automatic mechanised 7S36 watch movements is exact and reliable, with variances which range from -20 secs to +40 secs a day. That doesn’t quite compare with the best Swiss and Japanese programmed movements, but for an entry level watch it’s more than sufficient.

It offers a whip rate of 21600 BPH, so you do not get the particular ticking from a quartz watch that can be annoying during the night when everything’s noiseless. There is a 40-hour electricity reserve which means you may take it off during the night and never have to worry that it will stop working.

This is perhaps the weakest link in the Seiko 5 SNZG15, and it’s the key reason why the SNZG15 is a few us dollars cheaper than the Seiko 5 SNZG13. The 22 mm nylon strap can feel a lttle bit too hard at first, and you’ll need some time to break it in. It’ll do the job sufficiently eventually though.

For some, the nylon appears quite cheap so that it doesn’t match the quiet selling point of the Seiko 5 SNZG15. But with NATO or leather straps you may easily buy in stores and online, it will look much better.

PROS & CONS Bonus SEIKO 5 SPORTS Automatic Strap Watch SNZG15J1 Mens

Basically, what we’ve here’s an basic level military field watch, and it’s rugged operation and design are excellent.

  • The dial provides info easily, and even during the night there’s no problem telling the time. The hands are brightly luminous at night, and it generally does not fade for most hours.

  • The accuracy is good enough for most people.

  • The “provenance” (background), is nice, as it goes back to an earlier era when watches such as these were worn on the field of fight.

  • How big is the case is exquisite for people that have bigger wrists, but even for standard wrists it generally does not really look too big.

For the nylon strap downside, for some it’s actually nice enough to wear as is. But also for the most part, people don’t buy the Seiko 5 SNZG15 for the strap. You can simply change the strap to NATO or leather and that should improve its look even more.

Bonus SEIKO 5 SPORTS Automatic Strap Watch SNZG15J1 Mens -I put lots of time and work into choosing where to shop. I’ve favorite stores for groceries. I’ve favorite stores for clothes. I have stores I detest. And, of course, almost always there is online shopping.

Typically, there’s just Amazon.

I find myself at nearly every day — even though I’m not shopping, I may be researching prices, reading reviews, updating my account or perhaps dreaming. There’s nearly always something in my cart, just waiting for grounds to officially place an order. It is the internet version of screen shopping.

In the end, I’m probably to make my last purchase with Amazon anyhow. Here are 7 explanations why it’s become my go-to store:

1.Low Prices:

After years of researching prices and returning to Amazon, I’ve finally realized there are a few things they’ll always offer at the cheapest price. In fact, I have a couple of things I’ll only buy on Amazon. In addition they offer covered price complements, where they’ll lower the price on items others are providing on sale.

2.Free Shipping and delivery:

Super Saver Shipping and delivery is my favorite. With a minimal bare minimum purchase of $25, I don’t think I’ve ever paid for a shipment. It’s fun to have packages arriving on my doorstep without paying a cent for the service.

3.One-Stop Shopping:

I recall when Amazon offered just books, films, and music. Now, is there anything they don’t sell? I’ve bought electronics, playthings, groceries, clothes, and even furniture. It truly is the main one place I can go to order anything we are in need of.

4.Easy Profits:

I’ve only had to cope with their returns several times, but it’s a very simple process. Fill out the proper execution through your profile, print out the RMA and transport label, then email the item back again. They’ll send an upgraded or credit your account as soon as it arrives. Super easy.

I take advantage of my wishlist not simply to provide ideas for birthdays & vacations, but it also helps me keep track of things I wish to buy when it will fit into our budget. You can create public or private wishlists and prioritize the things in order of importance. So, when I have a Swagbucks present card laying around or need a filler item to attain free shipping, it’s very easy to find something to add to my order.

6.Subscribe & Save:

This might be one of my favorite reasons for having Amazon. Several items, like groceries and diapers, can be purchased as a subscription. They’ll ship the merchandise to your dwelling at regular intervals, on your schedule at the existing price — and give you a supplementary 15% off!

7.Preorder Assurance:

Here’s another favorite feature — when you preorder era books, videos or music, you get the lowest possible price between the day you order and your day it is released. Your credit card is not charged until the item boats, which is usually early so that your anticipated product gets there your day it comes out in the stores.
