WHAT THEY SAY
Model Numbers SEIKO 5 SPORTS Automatic Strap Watch SNZG15J1 Mens
Love this watch, well built and respectable reserve vitality, it hasn’t ceased yet, mine is a little fast although not a big issue.
This is a great access into automatic watches, the Seiko movements has an extended history of consistency.
Great watch that came up promptly. It exceeded my expectations. Fit and finish off was beautiful. Well packed. The watch maintains excellent time right out of the box.
A hi-tech, 23 jewels, automated movement identifies the Seiko Automatic Sports and makes it its common status. This analog watch is guaranteed by 23 jewels; the hands are luminous and silver-toned while baton hour-markers add extra presence. The watch also shows time frame and resists drinking water for 100 feet. The perfect watch out for a round of beach volleyball, the silver-toned stainless steel link bracelet will hold it set up.
SEIKO 5 – the meaning of the “5” An excellent marketer had the theory in the 70isera: to be a SEIKO 5, the watch has to have the following 5 (five) features (thus the name SEIKO 5):
- Water resistant,
- Shock resistant,
Please note that some SEIKO 5’s are actually SEIKO 4’s, if the “Day” function is omitted, then the Caliber 7S25 can be used. The sole difference to the normally found 7S26 is the omission of your day wheel.
Also re-issues of SEIKO 5 Sports often use the 7S36 caliber. Again the 7S36 is comparable to typically the most popular 7S26, yet it features 23 Jewels instead of the 21 Jewels in the 7S26.
Please note that all these movements conquer for a price of 21’600 bph (beats per hour) or 6 bps (beats per second).
As a comparison, an ETA 2824-2 beats at 28’800 bph or 8 bps. A Miyota 82xx beats at 21’600 bph.
Why must i discuss these three motions?
Because they’re within probably 80% of most inexpensive automatic wrist watches. A market show that is huge, yet challenged these days (2006) by an increasing show of inexpensive China Made automatic movements An computerized watch (also called a self-winding watch) is a mechanised watch, typically with a balance wheel escapement, whose mainspring is wound by the movement of the wearer’s arm, rather than needing to be wound manually every day.
Whereas a quartz watch is run by electricity, a mechanical watch is power by way of a mainspring which must be rewound for the watch to keep time.
THE CASE AND CRYSTAL
For SNK admirers who want those watch situations were bigger, the hold out is finally over. The SNZG15 measures a sturdy 42 mm and it is 12 mm thick. That means its dimensions are bigger than the old-style men’s watches, but is noticeably smaller than the outrageously huge wrist watches you commonly see today.
The top circumstance comes with a brushed finish, as well as refined finish off on the sides. The crystal is Seiko’s own hardlex crystal, which is incredibly scratch resistant. It’s also water-resistant up to 100 meters.
The dial design seems a bit busy, though it does have a rather nice arrangement that makes everything still readable. The external wedding ring shows the dominant numbered markings, while an internal ring provides military services time. The day and date info is included at the 3 o’clock position.
The hour and minute hands are large with a pointy end, while the second hand is just a good sliver. The black dial offsets the hands and markers effectively. The lume is great, as it glows brightly for 7 or 8 hours.
The automatic mechanised 7S36 watch movements is accurate and reliable, with variances ranging from -20 secs to +40 a few moments a day. That doesn’t quite compare with the best Swiss and Japanese programmed movements, but for an entry level watch it’s more than sufficient.
It offers a beat rate of 21600 BPH, so you do not get the different ticking from a quartz watch that may be annoying during the night when everything’s silent. There is a 40-hour ability reserve so you can take it off at night and never have to worry that it will stop working.
This is possibly the weakest link in the Seiko 5 SNZG15, and it’s the reason why the SNZG15 is a few dollars cheaper than the Seiko 5 SNZG13. The 22 mm nylon strap can feel a lttle bit too hard at first, and you will need a while to break it in. It’ll get the job done well enough eventually though.
For some, the nylon appears quite cheap so it doesn’t match the calm appeal of the Seiko 5 SNZG15. But with NATO or leather straps you can simply buy in stores and online, it’ll look far better.
PROS & CONS Model Numbers SEIKO 5 SPORTS Automatic Strap Watch SNZG15J1 Mens
Basically, what we’ve here is an entry level military services field watch, and it’s really rugged functionality and design are great.
The dial provides info quickly, and even during the night there is no problem telling enough time. The hands are brightly luminous in the dark, and it generally does not fade for most hours.
The correctness is sufficient for many people.
The “provenance” (record), is nice, as it dates back to a youthful era when designer watches such as these were worn on the field of struggle.
The size of the truth is perfect for people that have bigger wrists, but even for typical wrists it doesn’t really look too big.
As for the nylon strap disadvantage, for some it’s actually nice enough to wear as is. But also for the most part, people don’t buy the Seiko 5 SNZG15 for the strap. You can certainly change the strap to NATO or leather and that should improve its look even more.
WHY I SHOP AT AMAZON
Model Numbers SEIKO 5 SPORTS Automatic Strap Watch SNZG15J1 Mens -I put lots of time and effort into choosing where to shop. I’ve favorite stores for groceries. I have favorite stores for clothes. I have stores I detest. And, of course, there’s always online shopping.
Generally, there’s just Amazon.
I find myself at Amazon.com almost every day — even when I’m not shopping, I might be exploring prices, reading reviews, updating my account or just dreaming. There’s almost always something in my own cart, just waiting for a reason to officially place an order. It’s the internet version of screen shopping.
In the end, I’m probably to make my final purchase with Amazon anyhow. Listed below are 7 reasons why it’s become my go-to store:
After many years of researching prices and coming back to Amazon, I’ve finally came to the realization there are a few things they’ll always offer at the lowest price. Actually, I have a few things I’ll only buy on Amazon. In addition they offer concealed price suits, where they’ll lower the price on items others are offering on sale.
Super Saver Shipment is the best. With a minimal minimum purchase of $25, I don’t believe I’ve ever paid for a delivery. It’s fun to obtain packages arriving on my doorstep without paying a penny for the service.
I remember when Amazon offered just catalogs, videos, and music. Now, is there anything they don’t really sell? I’ve bought gadgets, toys and games, groceries, clothes, and even furniture. It really is the one place I could go to order anything we are in need of.
I’ve only had to cope with their returns a few times, but it’s a very simple process. Complete the form through your account, print the RMA and transport label, then email the item again. They’ll send an upgraded or credit your consideration when it arrives. Super easy.
I take advantage of my wishlist not only to offer ideas for birthdays & holidays, but it also helps me keep track of things I want to buy when it works with into our budget. You may create general public or private wishlists and prioritize the things in order of importance. So, when I’ve a Swagbucks gift card lying around or need a filler item to reach free shipping, it is rather no problem finding something to increase my order.
6.Subscribe & Save:
This may be one of my favorite things about Amazon. Several items, like groceries and diapers, can be bought as a membership. They’ll ship the merchandise to your house at regular intervals, on your schedule at the current price — and give you an extra 15% off!
Here’s another favorite feature — when you preorder era books, videos or music, you get the cheapest possible price between the day you order and the day it is released. Your credit card is not incurred before item ships, which is usually early on which means that your anticipated product will come the day it comes out in the stores.
